Dates announced for 15th Anniversary Show
Despite unseasonably bad weather affecting the travel plans of exhibitors and visitors alike, the general consensus from those who attended Skipper Expo Int. Galway 2018 was positive in its outlook.
For example, Alex Firth from R & D Marine Ltd said: “Overall, it was a successful show for us, allowing us to promote our products to the industry. Although the visitor numbers were less due to the poor weather conditions, the quality of visitors was excellent. Fingers crossed for better weather in 2019 as we will almost certainly be there.”
Callum Williams from Scotland stated: “After many years of wanting to visit the show we finally made it. It was a great show and well worth the trip. We plan on returning next year.”

John Menarry from Donegal added: “Once again, the expo featured a great selection of suppliers from all over Europe under one roof, and even the snow couldn’t dampen the atmosphere. However, if the show stayed open longer on Friday, that might have helped people travelling from further away.”
Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media said: “This year’s expo held significant challenges in the form of bad weather affecting the travel arrangements for some exhibitors and visitors, but initial feedback suggests the show proved successful for many of those that attended.”
Next year’s show - Skipper Expo Int. Galway 2019 - will be staged on 8 and 9March in an event that will represent the 15th anniversary of the expo.
Sharon Boyle added: “The support of exhibitors and visitors is instrumental in ensuring the success of Skipper Expo Int. Galway and we are looking forward to the 15th anniversary show.
“It promises to be busier than ever and it will be an event that represents a significant milestone in the show’s development.”
