Irish Specimen Fish Committee
Founded in 1953 the ISFC is an independant voluntary body. The committee consists of representatives from the Government Departments and official organisations interested in angling. Its objective is to verify, record and publicise the capture of trophy fish (ie specimen fish) on rod and line in Irish waters.
Clayton Airport Hotel will have a courtsey bus running between the Hotel and Show free of charge.
ISFC summary for 2016
Another busy year for specimen fish. Over 500 claims spanning 42 different species were submitted from a wide range of marine and freshwater venues around Ireland. Highlights include a new record Smooth-hound, unusually caught from the shore. The ISFC’s 2016 report, which details weights, lengths and capture details of all specimens will soon be published www.irish-trophy-fish.com and the Presentation of Specimen Awards event will be held on 18th February at the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport, Swords. With the Ireland Angling Show 2017 being held at Swords the entire weekend is a great opportunity to get prepared for the angling season ahead.
